Annual General Meeting

The Arlington Forest Protection Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding the 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm.  The AGM will be held in person at the Hampton Community Hall (8319 St Croix Cove Road, Hampton).   The Agenda for the meeting is available in the section below. 

All Active Members* are encouraged to participate in the meeting.  This is your opportunity to hear from the Board about the accomplishments in 2022, plans for 2023, and to vote on the new Board.  All members are encouraged to review the Election Procedure to understand how the process during the AGM will work.  

Any member of legal age (or with written consent by their legal guardian) is eligible to be elected as a Director of the Society.  If you are interested in learning more about the Board, or considering nominating yourself, please read through the Frequently Asked Questions.  The FAQ provides information about the different roles, time commitments, and details about the nomination process.   

If you would like to nominate yourself for the Board, please contact the Nominations Committee to submit your name and Candidate Statement at members@arlingtonforestprotection.ca  The Nominations Committee will confirm your membership status and add you to the slate of candidates to be considered at the AGM.  The Candidate Statement should include a brief (250 words or less) introduction about yourself, your interest in serving on the Board, and highlight what skills and experience you would like to contribute to the Society. 

*Active Members are any members who have paid their 2023 Membership Fees on or before March 21, 2023.
